The newspaper brings together scanned family photographs and imagined dialogues with Omar Gatlato, the main character from Merzak Allouache’s 1976 film Omar Gatlato. The film captures the spirit and contradictions of post-independence urban life in Algeria; it follows Omar, a young man obsessed with music and Indian cinema.
